Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about how EarnLayer works, from earnings and sessions to working days and withdrawals.

About EarnLayer

EarnLayer is a human intelligence workforce platform. It connects skilled contributors with meaningful AI and data-related work — such as evaluating AI responses, annotating data, and providing structured human feedback — that helps organizations build better, safer AI systems.

Work includes AI response evaluation, data annotation, text classification, sentiment analysis, grammar correction, summarization review, translation review, image annotation, information extraction, reasoning evaluation, dataset quality review, and human feedback tasks. EarnLayer does not offer ad clicking, captcha solving, or survey spam.

Yes. Task submissions may be processed and used for AI evaluation, quality assurance, model improvement, dataset development, and related research and analysis, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability varies by region and depends on task supply, language requirements, and platform policies. Supported countries and languages will be listed as the worker platform becomes available.

Earnings & Sessions

Workers complete tasks assigned one at a time during a work session. Each completed, approved task pays a fixed USD reward based on its tier — shown upfront, before you start.

Every task tier has a fixed USD reward, set by its estimated time and complexity — from $0.10 for a 15-second micro task up to $2.00 for a 20-minute expert review. What you see before starting a task is exactly what you'll earn once it's approved.

Work is organized into sessions — a batch of tasks assigned one at a time. After finishing a session, there's a short cooldown before the next one unlocks, so a full day's work is naturally spread across a few sessions rather than one long sitting.

Yes. Each task's USD reward is fixed and shown before you start — it doesn't change after you've completed the work. Reward amounts are set by EarnLayer per tier and may be updated for future tasks, but never change retroactively on work you've already done.

There's a minimum daily requirement to earn a Working Day, but no hard cap — once you've met it, you can keep completing tasks across additional sessions if more work is available.

Tasks & Fairness

No. There's no quality score to maintain. Complete a task correctly according to its instructions and the money is yours — no ongoing performance gate.

Tasks are assigned automatically, one at a time, from the same shared pool every worker draws from — there's nothing to browse or choose. If a task doesn't fit, skip it and a different one loads immediately.

Task rewards scale with a task's tier — which reflects its estimated time and complexity. Quick micro tasks pay less than longer, more involved expert-tier work, from $0.10 up to $2.00 per task.

Task availability depends on your language and region and overall platform demand at that moment. A task that's unavailable now may become available later.

EarnLayer uses submission pattern analysis and platform review processes to detect and prevent fraudulent activity, without gating regular task access behind a personal score.

Not as a standard step. Most workers never need to verify their identity. EarnLayer may request identity verification (KYC) if we notice unusual account activity or suspected fraud, in line with platform policy at the time.

Scheduling & Flexibility

Yes. EarnLayer is designed for flexible participation with no fixed login schedule. Work is available across flexible windows, subject to task availability.

Cooldown periods are short rest intervals between work sessions. They help maintain submission quality and give workers a natural stopping point before returning later in the day.

A working day is a day on which a worker completes a meaningful amount of eligible work, rather than simply a calendar day. Progress is tracked across completed working days, for example toward a 30 working-day milestone.

No. Skipped calendar days do not reset working-day progress. Workers can return at their own pace, and previously completed working days remain counted.

Earnings & Withdrawals

Withdrawal eligibility depends on factors such as accumulated earnings, completed working days, and platform requirements at the time. Once eligible, withdrawals can be made to any supported account with no withdrawal fees. Full withdrawal functionality is planned for a future release.

Yes. The moment someone joins EarnLayer using your referral link, you earn an additional $15 per month for as long as they remain an active worker — on top of your own task earnings, no waiting period or verification step required on your end. There's no limit on how many people you can refer. Referral program terms are subject to change.

Task availability moves with demand, geography, language, and platform needs, so the amount of work open to you can change day to day.

Every task you complete and get approved pays real USD — that part is straightforward. Your total earnings depend on how much eligible work you complete and how much task availability there is, so the dollar ranges shown on this site are examples, not a fixed number everyone hits.
